Executive Director
Position Summary
The Executive Director will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of the Lincoln Community Center’s organizational strategy and operations, including fundraising, program development, financial management, and staff supervision.
In addition to their operational responsibilities, the Executive Director will be a passionate leader who inspires others to engage with the LCC mission. They will work closely with the Board of Directors to ensure that the LCC is fulfilling its mission and serving its constituents effectively. The Executive Director will also be responsible for cultivating and maintaining relationships with key stakeholders, including donors, partners, and community leaders.
Our ideal candidate will be a motivational leader with a proven track record of success in nonprofit management. They will be passionate about the LCC mission and committed to achieving our goals. The Executive Director will be a strategic thinker who is able to balance short-term needs with long-term planning. They will have excellent communication skills and be able to represent the LCC to a variety of audiences.
Key Responsibilities
Organizational Leadership and Board of Directors Relations:
Collaborate with the Board of Directors to ensure that the LCC is fulfilling its mission.
Provide regular updates to the Board of Directors regarding the organization’s operations and performance.
Work with the Board of Directors to develop and implement policies and procedures that support the organization’s mission and goals.
Qualifications
The Executive Director will be thoroughly committed to the Lincoln Community Center’s mission. All candidates should have proven leadership, coaching, and relationship management experience.
- Advanced degree with at least 10 years of senior management experience; track record of effectively leading and regionally and/or nationally scaling a performance- and outcomes-based organization and staff; ability to point to specific examples of having developed and operationalized strategies that have taken an organization to the next stage of growth
- Unwavering commitment to quality programs and data-driven program evaluation
- Excellence in organizational management with the ability to coach staff, manage, and develop high-performance teams, set and achieve strategic objectives, and manage a budget
- Past success working with a Board of Directors with the ability to cultivate existing board member relationships
- Strong marketing, public relations, and fundraising experience with the ability to engage a wide range of stakeholders and cultures
- Strong written and verbal communication skills; a persuasive and passionate communicator with excellent interpersonal and multidisciplinary project skills
- Action-oriented, entrepreneurial, adaptable, and innovative approach to business planning
- Ability to work effectively in collaboration with diverse groups of people
- Passion, idealism, integrity, positive attitude, mission-driven, and self-directed
