Front Desk Receptionist

Job Description
Lincoln Community Center is seeking a highly motivated Front Desk Worker who is skilled in computer usage, possesses excellent communication skills, and is comfortable working with the public. The ideal candidate is punctual, professional, flexible with their schedule, and ready to learn.

Supervision
The Education Coordinator works under the direct supervision of the Executive Director.

Essential Functions/Duties Include But Are Not Limited To:
– Handle all monetary transactions accurately and securely
– Answer incoming phone calls and route to the correct department
– Greet and direct all guests and visitors
– Monitor and record daily attendance
– Maintain an organized and tidy front desk space
– Provide excellent customer service to all individuals entering the building
– Follow all Lincoln Community Center policies and procedures
– Strive to constantly learn and grow within the role
-Other projects as needed

Qualifications & Requirements
1. Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and demonstrate flexibility.
2. Ability to memorize and recall facts, figures, and information.
3. Ability to move up to fifty pounds and set up equipment.
4. Ability to make independent decisions and respond to immediate needs of students, emergency situations, and program needs.
5. Regular, reliable and punctual attendance is essential because of limited resources, costs, productivity and quality continuity.
6. Ability to interact successfully with supervisors, teachers, parents and students.
7. Fingerprinting for a background check will be required.
8. Computer experience required

Skill Needed:
– High School Diploma or equivalent
– Proficient in computer usage
– Able to handle monetary transactions accurately and securely
– Strong verbal communication skills
– Able to work flexible shifts, including evenings and weekends
– Must pass a criminal background check and drug screen
Current CPR and First Aid Certificates are required within two months of employment.
